StaffPad is a professional tool tailored for composers, providing a seamless way to effortlessly write music using music notation and audio. With the ability to write using the Apple Pencil, the app will transform your handwritten notes into beautifully typeset notation that can be edited, played back, printed, and shared. You can also record or import audio directly onto your score and intuitively edit it using the Apple Pencil. The app even has advanced machine learning capabilities that allow you to convert your real piano playing or existing recordings into notation. Additionally, you have the option to add video, smart symbols, and utilize top-notch sample libraries and studio effects to enhance your score. Whether you're working on a simple idea or a full film score, StaffPad is undeniably the easiest, most powerful, and most intuitive way to compose music on iPad.

WRITE NATURALLY
With StaffPad, you can write your score with the fluidity of natural handwriting. The app allows you to easily edit your notation using touch and the Apple Pencil. You can transpose, repeat, and structure your score using intuitive gestures and tools. Customizing the tempo is a breeze with the unique tempo staff feature (or by importing a tempo map from a MIDI file), and adding chords is made easy with the chord staff. Additionally, you have the flexibility to copy music written in StaffPad into other apps using standard copy and paste functions.

HEAR YOUR MASTERPIECE
StaffPad features a groundbreaking playback engine with over 55 included instruments, instantly bringing your written piece to life. The app also offers industry-standard sample libraries that have been adapted and customized for StaffPad by renowned sample developers. This is truly an exceptional advancement for composers working at the highest levels.

SHARE WITH SCORESYNC
When you're ready to perform or record your work, simply tap the ScoreSync button in StaffPad, and your score will be instantly shared across a Wi-Fi network to any device running the free StaffPad Reader app (available in the App Store). Each individual musical part will be beautifully formatted in the Reader app, updating in real-time with any changes made to the score. The app also handles automatic page turns and provides a synchronised metronome for perfect playback, ensuring you capture the perfect recording every time.

IMPORT AND EXPORT
StaffPad supports the import and export of MusicXML and MIDI files, enabling easy collaboration with other music apps. You can also export your playback as WAV, AAC, or MP3 files. Furthermore, the app allows you to import audio files into your score, with support for most major audio formats.

WORK WITH AUDIO AND VIDEO
For the first time, StaffPad seamlessly integrates audio with your notated score. You can record directly onto the score canvas using your device's built-in microphones, or import loops and perform freeform/rubato performances using the tempo staff. Enhance your production with a suite of studio-quality DSP effects and precise automation.

PIANO AND MIDI CAPTURE
StaffPad offers the unique ability to record your real piano playing and convert it into notation. Don't have a real piano? No problem - you can connect a USB or Bluetooth MIDI keyboard and record your performance in real-time, with notation converted as you play.

PRINT / PDF
In addition to allowing digital parts via ScoreSync, StaffPad automates the formatting and printing of parts or the export of PDFs. You have the flexibility to customize the paper size, bar number styles, number of bars per line, scaling, margins, multi-bar consolidation, and more. StaffPad takes care of formatting the score for consistent and professional presentation.
